FAQ: When and how can we step a mast ?

Place a mast with its maximum of rigging.
Ideally, the foot of the mast is not glued. The mast being held only by its rigging.
With or without gluing, check the tension of the shrouds (1), back stays (2) and stays (3), they can change the position of the mast.

In the practice, we can make a light gluing of the foot with an adhesive putty. Gluing that can be removed for a possible repair.
