  • Question:
Rigging - How can we align deadeyes ?
  • Answers:

  • At the end of a shroud, both deadeyes are spaced out of twice and a half times to three times the diameter of a deadeye.
  • To keep this space equal for all the shrouds, we build a jig. The simplest is made with two deadeyes.
  • Once tightened, the shroud is held with a pair of pliers, removed from the jig and lashed.
  • A lanyard connecting both deadeyes is going to tighten the shroud definitively.
